Training Opportunities

PAVIS provides training in computing and the reading and embossing of Braille.

Training is also given to volunteers, both visually impaired and sighted, in the various aspects of work they will be engaged in doing for PAVIS.

Courses at PAVIS

COMPUTING WITH LIMITED OR NO SIGHT

PAVIS hold courses in IT using speech software. This enables everyone, even those with no sight, to access the computer. Contact Kate for more details on the number below.

BRAILLE TRAINING

Training in the reading and embossing of Braille, using a Perkins Braille machine, is held weekly at the centre. This training can prove quite challenging but it is a worthwhile skill to possess. If you would like more details please contact Jane on the number below.
